Healing Love

Your touch, a paralytic to my mind,
Sends intellect, all shamefaced, into hiding –
No logic, sense or symmetry of thought
Has strength to stop such heat from overriding.
The clarity your touch can so induce
Defeats and sweeps away all useless thinking,
As breath becomes enough accomplishment,
And language, too, is in that warm sea sinking.
There’s nourishment in that place where you send me;
It’s lit by sun and moon — there is such peace!
An hour there heals more than night’s sweet sleep,
Embraced by such love, given such release.
Thus even more than practiced meditation
Is my mind healed by sensory education.
