Just Another Love Sonnet
1 min readFeb 10, 2020
As the daylight ornaments the snow,
Turning crystals into tiny suns,
As the lengthening icicles still grow
While from east to west the sun’s heat runs,
Just so do your eyes create in me
Beauties that were never there before,
Just as your perceptions set me free
From fears and longings that I feel no more.
You once said that no one else can make
One happy, but I think in that you’re wrong;
Each always seeking good for the other’s sake
Has turned our lives into a sweet, warm song.
I know the happiness you chose for me
Grew from your heart and set my spirit free.
